Frank Castle Is My Spirit Animal

I just finished Punisher season one on Netflix and I really enjoyed it. As i stated in one of my other posts I was never a huge Punisher fan in the comics I may need to try to read some trades of him now. If anyone has any recommendations please post them in the comments. I think Jon Bernthal was meant to play this role. He makes Frank Castle the toughest SOB I think that has ever been on screen. He gets beaten, shot, and stabbed, but still keeps kicking ass. If you want a good old fashion action movie feel this is a show for you. It is graphic hardcore bloody violence when Frank goes to war. I am not squimish at all but man the final 2 episodes are gruesome. Frank turning Billy into Jigsaw was amazing but also hard to watch at parts. Speaking of Jigsaw or Billy Russo, for those who have not read many Punisher comics, was one hell of a character the scene with his mother is gold and really gives some insight to his character. Supporting characters in this show were all great. David aka Micro was another character I really thought they nailed. This poor guy just wants to take care of his family and gets paired up with Castle and man do Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have some great on screen chemistry together. Two scenes I love with these two are where they are getting drunk together and the scene where Frank is unconscious and Micro is talking to him trying to get him to wake up. Next surprise Character is Madani this lady is strong, stubborn and determined. To my knowledge she is not in the comics but after this I would love to see them bring her in. Amber Rose Revah is stunning but keeps this character fierce. I look forward to season two and hope we see more than Bernthal return in the future. I sign out with this Netflix is still kicking ass with these shows, yes I even like Iron Fist.
